Meet Ryder

Ryder's life got off to a rough start. He was found in deplorable conditions. Locked in a shed with 5 other dogs and living in 10 inches of feces. All dogs are now safe and surprisingly very sweet and social despite their previous neglect! He is looking forward to his new life as a real puppy in a real home!

Update from foster home:
Wow .. knowing where he came from .. and how he is acting is remarkable!!

Ryder is a very sweet puppy lots of love and kisses. He is learning to trust people again and to know that we won't hurt him. He has mastered the stairs only after a few days, a little bit leery of outside , big noise , fast movement and being shut in a small room. we can see that is already slowly changing as he trusts us more. He gets along great with our resident puppy.

Ryder walks great on a leash has learned his name and has wonderful recall outside. Potty training is still being worked on, but I think once he gets it it will be an immediate turn over.

He's very smart and is already learning to sit. Super snuggly and loves to lay in bed with you and on the couch all day. Ryder is learning to play with balls and chase them, pretty fond of tug with my dog.

I can't wait to see him come out of his shell and act more and more like the puppy he is. What a wonderful and beautiful dog.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
