Emmy is a doll!

She prefers to sleep on the guest bed at night and on our bed during the day. She is housebroken, and will tell us when she has to potty by whining and running to and from the back door.

She can jump a 4' fence and cannot be trusted with a fence shorter than 6 feet. She will also be albe to go outside on a tie out and does very well.

Emmy doesn't need to be crated, she can be trusted unsupervised in the home. She knows "sit" "down" and "shake". Emmy is a very bright dog and can pick up on new commands very quickly. She likes to eat with us during dinner and seems to expect her own plate :) She is very snuggly and the perfect over-sized lap dog. She would also do well in a home with cats or other dogs as she is very polite. Emmy is a very well-balanced dog that will require little to no training in her new home. Though she may do best in a home with older kids. She is very playful but can get nippy if cornered.

Emmy is dog-friendly and cat-friendly, and will make a great addition to your family.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
