This darling girl was abandoned by her owners at a groomer and came to MARS in June. She was adopted by a wonderful family who loved her very much. They discovered, however, that she is a runner, and she kept getting loose from their unfenced yard and risked getting hit on a busy road. For her own safety they were forced to return her so MARS could find a home with a fenced yard. Zoey will make a wonderful family dog! She is smart, loving, and a snuggler. She is great with other dogs and loves children. She looks like a newfie with a goofy curled tail, and has the sweet temperament combined with the more playful retriever traits. What a great combination! Zoey will pretty much fit into almost any home that can offer a physical 5' FENCE to keep her from dashing off after those tempting squirrels. She loves people around too, so someone that's home more often would thrill her as well. Fill out an adoption application to meet this special girl! When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.
