*Good with dogs

Hugo would love to have another dog to play with in his furever home. He tries to get the other dogs in his foster home to play with him all the time but when they continually resist he entertains himself by throwing toys up in the air and chasing them around. Hugo LOVES playing with tennis balls and his favorite mini soccer ball. 

Hugo is not destructive and has great house manners. He gets a long great with the three other dogs in the house ranging from 10-70 lbs. He is so sweet, if I could have 3 dogs of our own, we would keep him in a heartbeat. 

He has never had a problem with any of the dogs that he has met and he has met everything from little Shihtzues to Shepherds and Akitas at the dog park. He is submissive to other dogs and hasn't had problems with any alphas he has met either. 

Hugo is a wonderful boy at home.  Outside of the home he will need some work due to his high herding instincts when it comes to going on walks where he passes closely to cars and people and at outdoor dog parks where people are walking around for exercise.

He came from a very sad background where it was likely he was abused and neglected. When he arrived in rescue he was so sad and scared that he wouldn't move on his own and his head and eyes where always on the ground. It is amazing to see what a happy and loving dog he has become! He is like a completely different dog then he was when he was saved from his old life.  However, due to his past he can sometimes be scared of strangers initially but warms up fast.

The ideal home for Hugo would be one that has patience, love, another playful dog, fenced yard for exercise, and willingness to address his few areas that need work.

He would love a family to finaly call his own. Would you like to make him part of yours?
