Description:

Hi, my name is Ava. At least that is what my foster family calls me.
I come from an unwanted litter. M.A.R.S. came in and rescued me.
I am a white Staffie mix, with a few spots and smoky eyes.

I love to cuddle.  If I see you on the couch or hammock, you can be sure I will 
be there too.

I like to play, run around and do all those things you would expect a puppy
to do. My favorite is the baby. I run away with the socks and pacifiers. I
also give him gentle kisses.

Though, when it comes to the older kids, I can play.
The older dog and I get along great, and if the cat would let me, I bet we
would be best friends too.  I have grown a lot since I have been here and 
have been told I am very inquisitive. 

I am learning to ring the bell on the door to go out, to stop 
when told no and walk on a leash.  I am crate trained and run in willingly 
for a treat. I love baths and know where the tub is.

I am still working on my basic commands, but with practice, I should get an
A+.

Do have a small spot on the couch for me?  Will you be my forever home?

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
