Meet the fabulous Delphyne ! She is great with other dogs and loves all people. She’s smart and sassy, cute and cuddly. She’s crate trained and leash trained and knows a few basic commands. Delphyne is absolutely adorable. She’s a joy to be around and is so much fun!  She would make a champion agility dog. She has shown she can be a bit of an escape artist and will scoot or dig right under the fence. If she is engaged she will not go anywhere, but if you turn her loose in the backyard and don’t keep an eye on her, she will dig right out under the fence. Happily she prefers to be in the house, on the couch or otherwise with the humans. She’s very, very clever and will need a family that can keep her intellectually stimulated. She is such a great dog!!
 

Delphyne did test positive for heartworm and will be receiving treatment provided by MARS to live a long healthy life.  

*A dog with Heartworms is not directly contagious to other animals. Heartworms are transmitted by an infected mosquito.

*Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care. 

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks or cash.

Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance
