Are you looking for one of the coolest dogs around? Look no further Rye is your guy!

He is a great dog who is full of personality. He is house trained, and everyone who meets him comments on what a loving dog he is. He loves to play, he loves his walks, and if he can get a chance to show you his speed and agility, he will absolutely FLOOR you. Rye is truley a pack animal he loves his doggie friends. Rye will only be adopted to a home with another dog similar in size for him to pack with.

One of Rye's favorite passtimes is playing with a tennis ball or volley ball in the back yard. He was not phased by the snow this past winter and will leap in and out of it along with a good game of chase with his buddies. A home with a fenced yard is prefered for Rye.

His eyes are almost hypnotic and if you get caught in his stare you’re likely to fork over any food or treat you might have which is great for him since he loves food! He wants to be your best buddy and will keep you smiling from ear to ear when you see his goofy grin.

Rye has some very typical Greyhound traits to be aware of such as thin skin, hard play with others and is not fond of being left alone for long periods. Rye also has a tendency to help himself to whatever may be in his reach on the counters.

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
