Description:

Meet Aurora

Aurora is busy learning the ins and outs of becoming a house dog! She is showing signs of holding potty as much as she can while in her crate/pen. She will potty outside if we make it convenient. She is a smart girl and is on her way to success.

She sleeps in the pen area with her brother Denver and they only cry for a short period or to signal they need to potty.

When introduced to a 3 yr old girl who was visiting, she didn't jump or nip much. She respects signals from older dogs and is cautious but curious of the cats. The foster says that she and her brother are not as destructive as other puppies this age. They bark while playing, but age and training will be needed to determine more.

Aurora enjoys sleeping, eating, chasing her brother, being cute, exploring and plush toys. She is a great puppy who would be good in any puppy-ready home, even with small children.

Aurora does have a healed injury to her leg which did cause the leg not to grow at the same rate as the others. She is not in any pain just has one leg a bit shorter than the others.

*Note* Pups this young should not be left alone for more than 4 hours at a time to help them with potty training and socialization*

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
