Don't I look so HAPPY?!?!

My name is Denny, and the huge 'smile' on my face describes my personality perfectly! I love absolutely everyone...well...except squirrels. Ahem. Sorry, but those wiggly little things are so much fun to chase! As a result, I would prefer a fenced backyard...and not one of those invisible fences, because I will plow right through that thing!

Anyways, back to how wonderful I am. I like other dogs- contrary to what the media likes to tell you- and I LOVE kids. My non-k9 brothers, Mccaleb and Abel (8 and 6 years old) wrestle with me on the floor, and I am so gentle with them. When I am in a room, I command attention- not only because of my dashing looks, but also because of my outrageously wonderful personality! Don't worry though, I will share the attention. I prefer to greet everyone in the room with one-on-one attention and love! I can be best described as the "life of the party." And with me, it's always party time!

Sometimes I get confused, and I think I am a lab. Like, when I see water! And, when I play fetch! Wanna know what tricks I can do?!? I can sit, stay and climb up jungle gyms...and then go down the accompanying slide! I am currently getting exercise about four times per week, which helps work off my large amounts of energy- and I am used to running alongside a bike or rollerblades, so I can go FAST! I have short little legs, so I don't need to go for miles on end- just the daily walk would keep me content!

Denny's life started out rough, as he was purchased from an evil person who had bad intentions for this wonderful boy. Denny went to "doggie jail" while his owner was in court for three months...even though Denny did nothing wrong. Since then Denny's life has done a 180!

Denny has been thoroughly temperament tested and passed with flying colors. When he got to meet a pretty bully breed girl, he barked at her initially, but soon was rolling on his back and giving her kisses!

When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.

Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters.

Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance.
