Description:
Meet Marie, Poor little Marie was a stray and had been living in a ditch! The neighbors in the area didn't like her because she smelled and was eating their garbage! What can you expect? She was a tiny puppy trying to get by on her own! Someone in the neighborhood contacted the local rescue. The person from the rescue found Marie, and said she belly-crawled over to her slowly to make sure she wasn't going to get hit. Once she knew she was safe, she covered her rescuer in kisses. Marie has some injuries on her face indicating some person or animal hurt her in the past. The injuries are healing. Marie's rescuer does not have a foster home available for Marie, so she contacted MARS. Once MARS agreed to take her, the rescuer was able to bring her in, give her a bath and get a feel for her personality. She is very sweet and submissive, and is a "velcro-dog", She tries to stay very close to someone at all times. Can you blame her, after what she has been through? Marie is now in a loving foster home to care for her while she searches for her forever home. Please feel free to fill out a an ADOPTION APPLICATION on our main website, www.midwestanimalrescue.org, by clicking on the Form/Applications link under Website Features. Thank You! Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS. We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance. Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history.
